Privacy and Data Retention Notice for Talking Care Navigator

Talking Care Navigator is designed to provide guidance on legislation, regulation, and best practice in adult social care. It is not intended for entering or managing personal or case-specific data.

When you use Talking Care Navigator, the text you enter is sent securely to OpenAI’s API to generate a response. Neither Talking Care nor OpenAI uses your data to train AI models.

• Retention by OpenAI: Inputs and outputs may be stored for up to 30 days by OpenAI for the sole purposes of system monitoring and abuse detection. They are then automatically deleted unless required for security or legal reasons.

• Retention by Talking Care: We do not store, log, or share any of the questions you ask or the responses you receive. Once your session ends, your information is not retained by us.

• Your responsibility: Please avoid entering personal details such as names, addresses, or health information. Talking Care is for general guidance and best practice advice only. Always adhere to your organisations’ confidentiality policy.
